My dad was a very unselfish man. He was always willing to help people in need, and I know he was proud to be able to help with his donation.
He was also an avid outdoorsman. He loved to make time to fish or hunt with family, friends, or most often by himself. As he got older, he would take daily drives around to our favorite hunting spots and call me with updates on what he saw. I miss not having voicemails telling me that he saw a big strutting turkey or a buck starting to grow horns in late summer.
Family was his biggest priority. He was always wanting to know what was going on in our lives and giving us fatherly advice to any issues we were having. He taught me to use humor to cope with tuff life lessons and to trust in God above all.
