DonorConnect is seeking a full-time Manager, Professional Education/Hospital Services who will be responsible for leading the development, implementation, and evaluation of professional education plans and programs for DonorConnect within the hospitals assigned to their team. This role actively participates in departmental strategic planning and budgeting processes. Key responsibilities include supervising, assigning, evaluating, and directing coordinators’ hospital development activities, ensuring the success of donation programs within their assigned hospitals.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

Training/Education/Certification:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Education, Marketing, or related field required, Master’s degree preferred, and/or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience
  • RN preferred

Experience Required:

  • Three years of experience in marketing or management in a healthcare setting, with OPO (Organ Procurement Organization) and Hospital Services experience preferred
  • Experience in organizational analysis, management, and program development
  • Background in education or marketing
  • Familiarity with physician-relations preferred
  • Knowledge of clinical education or marketing preferred
  • Understanding of organ and tissue recovery preferred
  • Proficiency in medical terminology preferred

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:

  • Knowledge of the health care field
  • Understanding of the hospital, ICU and nursing environment
  • Understanding of professional education functions and methods
  • Knowledge of computer hardware, software, and of database
  • Excellent public relations and interpersonal abilities
  • Strong planning and analytical capabilities
  • Superior communication skills, both oral and written
  • Solid leadership and diplomatic abilities
  • Strong project management abilities
  • Ability to direct and supervise others
  • Ability to reason logically and make sound decisions, to consider alternative and diverse perspectives, and communicate effectively both orally and in writing
  • Able to work well with all levels of personnel in hospital settings and within the differing guidelines of each institution
  • Attentive to details and able to maintain accurate records
  • A valid driver’s license must be maintained and possession of their own reliable insured automobile
  • Exposure to patient elements including communicable disease, bloodborne pathogens, and other common hazards of a clinical setting
