Working under the direction of the Chief Operating Officer, responsibilities include providing high-level leadership and direction to Hospital and Family Services departments, ensuring adherence to all regulatory requirements, and continually striving for organizational effectiveness.

This position requires regular evening, night, and weekend work including same-day and overnight travel to off-site meetings and functions.

What You’ll Do:
As Director of Hospital and Family Services, you will:
- Lead and mentor the Hospital and Family Services teams, promoting a culture of compassion, excellence, and continuous improvement while ensuring optimal staffing, training, and competency aligned with regulatory standards.
- Oversee the full spectrum of the organ donation process—including authorization, family conversations, donor risk assessments, and aftercare—while upholding the highest ethical and clinical standards.
- Develop and manage strategic partnerships with hospitals and transplant centers, including contracts, performance metrics, stakeholder engagement, and ongoing collaboration to improve donation and transplantation outcomes.
- Use data analysis and performance indicators to guide strategic decisions, monitor operational effectiveness, and drive continuous improvement across the organization.
- Ensure organizational compliance with all relevant federal and state laws, as well as regulatory agencies such as OPTN, CMS, FDA, and CDC.
- Lead departmental strategic planning and budgeting efforts, aligning with organizational goals and maintaining fiscal responsibility.
What We’re Looking For:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Health Administration, Nursing, Psychology, Counseling, or a related field (Master’s preferred in MHA, MBA, MPH, or similar).
- Proven leadership or management experience, preferably in healthcare or organ donation.
- Strong project management skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Deep understanding of legal and regulatory compliance in healthcare.
- Experience building strong, strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders.
- Analytical acumen and experience using data to drive improvement.
