Julie was a hero in both life and death. As an Army medic, she served with courage and compassion, traveling the world to care for others before settling in Virginia to continue her service as a journalist for the Army. Julie adored her Persian cat, King Darius, whom she cared for through years of adventure. She was a devoted daughter, sister, aunt, and friend, always putting others before herself and touching countless lives with her kindness and strength. Her generous spirit extended beyond her lifetime—through organ donation, she gave the gift of life to others and we are very proud of her. She is missed more than words can describe.
