We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Senior Donation and Family Advocate to join our team in Omaha, NE. In this role, you will be responsible for providing support and guidance to families who are considering organ donation for their loved ones. You will work closely with medical staff, donor families, and transplant recipients to ensure a smooth and respectful donation process.

In this role, you will maintain a balanced schedule, with hospital-based responsibilities assigned 1–2 days per week. The remaining time will be dedicated to office-based initiatives, including program development, process enhancement, and mentorship.
Responsibilities:
  • Provide emotional support and counseling to donor families throughout the donation process
  • Coordinate communication between medical staff, donor families, and transplant recipients
  • Educate families on the donation process and answer any questions or concerns they may have
  • Ensure that all legal and ethical guidelines related to organ donation are followed
  • Maintain accurate records of donor information and donation outcomes
  • Collaborate with other members of the donation team to ensure a seamless donation process
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in social work, psychology, or a related field
  • Previous experience working in a healthcare or nonprofit setting
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and emotionally charged environment
  • Knowledge of organ donation laws and regulations is a plus​
