Brooks passed away suddenly from Meningitis in 2020 at the age of 7 months. He was an extremely adventurous, happy little boy! He brought a smile to anyone that was around him. He became a donor hero during the pandemic and was not allowed to have a proper donor walk. Brooks’ Dad is a Wauwatosa Firefighter. Tosa and other surrounding departments showed up that morning and gave him a beautiful hero’s honor in front of Children’s hospital. Little did we know at the time, the little boy who received his heart was in the room beneath us and his family was also watching the Fire Dept’s Hero Honors. We are now in close contact with his heart recipient and his family! Brooks lived a short life but made an incredible impact!
