Tony was a vibrant 25 year old man, who loved life, his family, friends and helping others. He had an infectious laugh and his smile lit up a room. Some of his favorite things were listening to music, especially Chris Stapleton, working on his truck, riding motorcycles, making funny videos and all sports – both playing and watching them. He especially loved the Philadelphia Eagles. He almost always was sporting something Eagles related. He also owned his own landscaping business and was thriving both personally and professionally.
One tragic day 3 years ago this May, he lost his life in a single car accident where he sustained traumatic brain injuries. Because of the discussion we had when he first got his drivers license, I knew immediately that he would want to help others in any way possible. I gave the ok to donate his organs, corneas, skin, tissue, etc.
Although Tony’s life was cut tragically short, he lives on in the 3 lives that he saved and the countless others he can help through his ancillary donations. I also started a foundation in his name to continue his legacy of love, hope, compassion and the need to help others. “A Hero’s Legacy” is a lasting tribute to a great man, a wonderful son, brother, grandson, nephew, cousin, boyfriend and friend. With each recipient that the foundation helps, I feel Tony smiling so proud that the help was done in his name and that he continues to provide assistance to others.
Tony, you will forever be missed. The love we all have for you will never fade! We continue to talk about you and share fond memories of you. Happy Birthday son! “I’ll love you forever. I’ll like you for always. As long as I’m living, my baby you’ll be!”
