My husband died suddenly; my son and I were totally in shock. Unbeknownst to either of us, my husband had registered to be a donor. He had done so online; it wasn’t reflected on his driver’s license. So typical of him to go about something this wonderful quietly, without fanfare. I know of two people who received corneas from his (blue) eyes. Others were helped by the bone, vein and skin tissue donations. Gifts from after a life. Is there any more moving proof of the grace and generosity of those who donate?
