Jacob LOVED and LIVED to the fullest right until he took his last breath due to an ATV accident. He rode a bull, went sky-diving, ate exotic foods in exotic places, and the list goes on. He was always giving and caring about people, so we never hesitated to agree to organ donation as we knew that he would absolutely want to give in his death just as he had in his living (this was confirmed through his DONOR designation on his license). Our worst day became the best day for 5 people and their families as he was able to donate 7 organs. Organ donation has been the thing that makes this dark time bearable. Knowing that he truly lives on in the recipients gives us something to smile about.
