JoAnn was a dedicated and loving daughter, mother, grandmother and friend. In remembrance and honor of her memory and true to her kind and giving heart, she gave the last of what she had to offer to 2 complete strangers. She was a cornea donor and was able to help a male and female from N.J have their site completely restored through The Lion's Eye Bank of Delaware Valley. In the words of her 8 year old grandson, Caleb, "They can now see their loved ones through our loved ones eyes". He (we) share our donor family story with each of their classes every year in honor of her memory and we will carry on her legacy and love every year after.
