AOPO Stands in Solidarity with the Asian Community

MCLEAN, VA., March 22, 2021 – We are deeply saddened by the rise in anti-Asian hate crimes, such as the tragedy in Georgia which needlessly took the lives of 8 people, 6 of whom were of Asian descent. We mourn the innocent victims and share our heartfelt sympathies with their families, loved ones, and communities.

We condemn this horrific attack and all acts of discrimination and violence. Today, and every day, we stand in support and solidarity with Asian, Asian American, and Pacific Islander communities.

Our mission is to save and heal lives, regardless of race, gender, age, religion, sexual orientation, or other social or personal identities. These racially charged incidences reinforce the urgency of actions we are taking to advance diversity, equity, and inclusion in organ donation and transplantation.

STOP ASIAN HATE
